A salmon dish from Asturias, Spain. This is served with potatoes.
Heat oven to 400.F. Season salmon on both sides with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil in a skillet over high heat. Cooking in batches, sear the salmon 2 minutes per side, until golden.
Rub both sides of the salmon steaks with butter, then place on a roasting pan. Pour cider over top and bake until salmon is fully cooked.
