Puree the onion, water, garlic, marjoram, thyme, pepper, cumin, cloves, and 1 Tbsp of the salt until smooth.
Heat the large in a large pot over medium high heat. Once hot, add the pork and 1/2 tsp. of salt. Cooking, flipping occasionally, until browned on all sides.
Add the sauce to the pork, bring to a simmer, and let cook briefly.
Add orange juice, sweetened condensed milk, and bay. Stir, bring to a simmer, then reduce heat to medium low and cover. Cook, stirring occasionally, until meat is completely cooked and falls apart easily.
Made with ~1.5 lbs. country style pork ribs and only 3/4 c. orange juice. The sauce is quite salty, probably because I didn't scale it down for the reduced quantity of meat, but still very good and great served over rice.
