Combine the beans and half of the sugar in a medium pot. Heat over medium-low and mix until sugar is dissolved. Add remaining sugar and salt and mix to dissolve.


2.

Continue cooking to reduce until the mixture is thick, keeping in mind that it will continue to thicken as it cools. Let cool and store.
