Burger Patties

Ground beef shrinks considerably when cooked. Take this into account when shaping the patties. Making the patties larger than you want them to be when cooked will help them shrink to a more appropriate size. Depressing the center of the patties will prevent the burgers from 'swelling' in the centers after contracting.

Combine all ingredients in a medium bowl. Work the spices into the beef, taking care not to over work.


2.

Divide the mixture into 6 equal balls. Form each ball into a disk and make a shallow depression in the center.




Comments


Made and grilled a half batch of these about a week ago with ground beef of an indeterminate fat content. They are really nice, definitely on the larger end of patties.
