Description
Runner beans are similar to 'green beans', but tend to be larger, grow as perennials, and have colorful, ornamental flowers. They were historically popular in Britain and the United States, but have fallen out of favor in the latter. They are also popular in some Mediterranean countries, including Greece. The tough ends of runner beans should be trimmed before use.
