Description
This variety of cucumber was bred to has soft skin, few seeds, and a less bitter taste than other varieties. English cucumbers are long, thin, and straight, usually around 14 inches in length. The skin is dark green and ridged. The few seeds that do exist are small. Because of the delicate skin, this variety of cucumber is more prone to being damaged, resulting in many grocers selling them in shrink wrap.
