Acorn Flour

Description

Acorn flour is produced by several different methods, all of which include leaching the tannins from the nuts using water before grinding and drying (not necessarily in that order) to produce a flour. Some processes involve boiling or otherwise cooking the nuts which give the resultant flour a more roasted flavor when compared to flour made purely through cold methods.
