Description
A variety of rum that is aged longer than light rums, resulting in a darker product. The flavor is bolder, imparted from the charred oak barrels used during aging. During the aging process, other ingredients are sometimes added to impart flavor and color, such as molasses, burnt sugar, caramel, and spices.
