Description

Fish that has been fermented with toasted rice and salt. It is primarily made from snake head fish and pla gradee, and usually still contains bones. It is considered 'peasant' food, but is nonetheless much liked in Northeastern Thailand and Laos. The saltiness varies widely between brands.
