Nori







Description

Nori is a Japanese product of pyropia, a red algae, though it is dark green when processed into the thin, crispy sheets it is commonly available in. It is slightly salty and has a somewhat mineral flavor. It is most commonly used as the wrapper for sushi, but is also used as a garnish when shredded.
