Description

A variety of strained yogurt made in the Levant, Egypt, and the Arabian Peninsula. The yogurt is strained until it is the consistency of soft cheese. The flavor is similar to that of tart sour cream. Labneh is sometimes rolled into small balls and stored in jars with olive oil and herbs.
